project work

FEAST was formed in February 2005 and has since worked with a range of partners in both the public and private sector. We have been involved in projects ranging from feasibility studies and market research through to business planning and Marketing, Sales and Communication, all executed with our practical and flexible approach.

Our clients include individuals or groups of farmers, growers, processors, wholesalers, retailers and chefs, also partner organisations, Regional Development Agencies, Government Offices, local and regional councils. We work with businesses and organisations involved in the production, procurement, delivery, retail or development of products and services related to UK Farming and Food.

Our first office was in Yorkshire and in 2007 we moved to the East Midlands offering a central location with good transport links to all areas. We work with professional partners and organisations around the country. Our collaborative approach allows us to identify specific industry related personnel and offer the best level of expertise for the relevant topics required.

We are currently working towards ISO 9000:2000 accreditation to formalise our commitment to offering the highest standards of customer service.

Here are some examples of clients and the work have undertaken for them:

New Covent Garden Market - We conducted and presented a study of the throughput of UK produce through the wholesale market. NCGM is the country's leading wholesale market with national Food Service companies onsite serving Retail and Hospitality clients from both the Private and Public sectors, there are also onsite processing businesses adding value to UK produce.

East Midlands Year of Food , Farming and Education - Sally Scantlebury was selected to coordinate the Year of Food and Farming initiative in the East Midlands, since it began in September '07 the East Midlands Year of Food and Farming (EMYOFF) has been bringing together farmers, food producers and other organisations to educate children and teachers about food, farming and the countryside. Throughout the Year young people have undertaken activities which have given them direct experience of seeing, growing and cooking to reconnect them with their food and how it is produced.

Leicestershire Food Links - Promotion and production of marketing materials for Farmers Markets in Leicestershire and Rutland. Sally Scantlebury also served on the Management Group.

Public Sector Procurement - FEAST act as advocates and advisors on the procurement of UK produced food for the public sector. This interesting market is often challenging and good communication essential. We consulted on the facilitation and formation of PSPS (Public Sector Produce Supply) a farmer led group who successfully tendered and was awarded the contract to supply Fruit and Veg to Leeds City Council.
